Built in 1883, South Lodge exudes the feel
of a family home. Amongst the 93 acres of parkland are 260
varieties of Rhododendrons, Camellias and Azaleas which, when in
bloom, present a magnificent sea of colour. Inside are 41

your skills on our tennis court or croquet lawn. Nearby there’s
also polo at Knepp Castle, car and horse racing on the famous
Goodwood Estate and opera at Glyndebourne.
For golf enthusiasts
we have two outstanding championship courses only a five minute
drive away at the hotel’s sister property, Mannings Heath Golf
Club. Here, South Lodge residents enjoy privileged access to play
the members only Waterfall Course.
Established in 1905 this par 72 Championship
course offers a lovely feeling of seclusion, created by the mature
trees and dramatic undulating terrain and presents an immaculate
test of golf for every calibre of golfer.
